Today we’ll look at how to organise a complaint letter to a company. I’ll also give sample language for two situations, one to an ISP and one to a bank.

 

The subject line can be as simple as a reference number or account number that applies. If none apply, try not to use the word ‘complaint’ in the subject line to avoid a negative-sounding start to the letter. …

Complaints are easy, right? You’re unhappy about something, so you complain about it.

 

Writing complaint letters that get results may not be so easy, however.

 

Today, we begin a three-part series on writing effective complaint letters. We’ll start with some general points, and in the next two articles, we’ll focus on two types of complaint situations:
